History
In 1976 Glenn and Suzan Miller purchased a 10 acre parcel of sagebrush and juniper trees in Tumalo Oregon. They began clearing brush, building fence and building structures. Over the past 30 years they have turned a dry barren desert into a lush hidden hide-away. They raised their two children Juli and Sarah along with numerous horses, cattle and dogs over the years. Today the family runs the ranch as well as Glenn is a freelance journalist and photographer, Suzan is a custom quilt maker and seamstress, Juli is an Equine Nutrition Specialist and is an avid rider, and Sarah is a Certified Vet Tech as well as an avid rider.

Glenn Miller
Glenn is a master of the hammer and can build and repair most anything. He has become the go to man for local builders that have left over lumber and take-out supplies. He has built most everything on the ranch from the unwanted left overs that would have been taken to the burn pit or the dump. There are currently 8 cabin like bunk houses on the ranch as well as a western town, a green house filled with big beautiful tomatoes and two nice irrigation ponds. The main ranch house is a grand collection of old wooden handled tools and archives from the years past. On summer days you can usually find Glenn sitting in the back yard with his guitar in hand playing away.

Suzan Miller
Suzan is a fantastic seamstress and homemaker. She has made all of the cabins inviting and comfortable with used and hand-me-downs items. She loves to sew and make quilts as much as possible. A fantastic cook, she has always got something cooking or on the stove for supper. Entertaining comes natural for her.

Juli Miller
Juli is an accomplished rider and loves working with young horses. She started working for feed stores when she was 16 years old and for the past 12 years had built an amazing network of clients and friends. She now is working full time with the horses and living and training at her ranch only about five miles from here. In her spare time she enjoys Ranch Soarting and Barrel Racing but you'll find her at most any event that involves working cow horses or spurs.

Sarah Drost
Sarah left Central Oregon to pursue her education in the vet field. After attending two years at Bel-Rey Vet School in Denver Colorado and getting her degree, she and her husband moved back to Tumalo. Living only about 5 miles from the ranch she is always over riding and helping out with the daily up-keep of the horses and the ranch. She is quite a hand with the younger horses and is quiet and gentle. She works full time at the Redmond Vet Clinic about 15 miles from the ranch and has been a huge ranch building force over the years.
The Ranch
This is not your typical cutting edge, top of the line horse facility. This is a family run operation with the idea that you "run what you brung". No big fancy barn, no heated indoor arena, just good honest working ranch horses. Our horses are turned out on pasture during the day and brought in the coral at night for their feeding. Regular grain and vitamins along with a vaccination and worming schedule are in place and the farrier keeps everybody up to date on trimming and shoes.
So if you're looking for the perfect family trail horse then we may have just the horse for you. And with our three ranch dogs, Duke, Pepper and Clyde... the horses are very "dog savy"
.
