It is s important to ride a good quality saddle. Having one that just fits you like that old pair of boots is a virtue, but having one that fits you and your horse properly is even more important. So many common problems stem from the use of improper fitting tack. I've always said saddles are a lot like shoes. If you buy cheep shoes, you go through them quite fast and not only your feet end up paying the price, but you feel the effects all over your body. Saddles are no different. Make sure your saddle not only fits you, but fits your horse as well. And PLEASE don't think that just because you own a Quarter Horse that you need a saddle with Full Quarter Horse Bars. Every animal is different as is each rider.
